I guess this fact was not known by testosterone scientists who came up with the names estrogen and progesterone. Progesterone means to bear, give birth , the word gestation comes from the same root. estrogen means ‘gadfly’ or ‘frenzy’ , also some trace it to the Greek root (oistros) sexual passion and desire. So, according to these scientists, women are either giving birth or in a state of agitation and hysteria or intense sexual desire. You see this is why we should come up with our own scientific names.  This is also why I prefer to refer to these hormones as Ovarian hormones and not sex hormones, in order to not restrict the vastness of their influences.
However, my problem is that I still experience the pain that I used to experience before taking the pills and I still take pain killers every month. I’ve realized also that I seem to experiencing the burning sensation on underneath my feet as well as the tingling sensation on other parts of my body. I’m scared to stop taking the pills because the doctor told me that if I stop the endo will come back and this is the only way to stop it. Iv stopped taking them before for a short while without my doctors permission and I still experienced a lot of pain. I get depressed and sometimes feel hopeless and stuck. Insulin resistance is linked with many health problems, Type II diabetes, being the most commonly known, but it also leads to an increased risk of breast cancer. Insulin is a growth factor and as we eat more and more carbohydrates and sweets, it rises, and as it does it increases IGF-1 (insulin-like growth factor) which stimulates cancer cells. A 2004 study out of Vanderbilt University suggests that insulin resistance and increased IGF-1 synergistically increase the risk for breast cancer. The study found that women with abnormal levels of both had a three-fold rise in the incidence of breast cancer. Two years earlier, Dr. Pamela Goodwin of Mt. Sinai Hospital in Toronto found that women with early stage breast cancer, who were also insulin resistant (as defined by a high fasting insulin level) had a higher rate of cancer spreading to other organs (metastases), and death, compared to those whose insulin levels were normal. Type 2 diabetes, which is essentially advanced insulin resistance, leads to breast cancer—the long-running Nurses Health Study of over 100,000 nurses bears this out. Although some studies have questioned these findings, a combined analysis of 21 studies published in 2004, backs up the trend.
