For many women, night sweats and hot flashes are the first uncomfortable sign that something is amiss. This isn't the time to start hormone replacement therapy, but begin a food journal by jotting down what you eat and drink, how you feel physically, and any emotions that come up after. Many times our emotions are the trigger that increases internal temperature. The next time you feel the flashes coming on, stop and think about the thoughts swirling around in your mind.

If you can't sleep or you don't get good quality sleep, hormone balance may be to blame. Progesterone is one compound released by the ovaries that helps you sleep. Low levels may make it difficult to fall and stay asleep. A small study in postmenopausal women found that 300 milligrams of progesterone restored normal sleep when sleep was disturbed. Estrogen levels decrease in perimenopause and after menopause. This may contribute to night sweats and hot flashes, which often disrupt a woman's ability to sleep. See your doctor if you believe an imbalance in hormones is contributing to sleep problems.
Because menopause is defined as 12 months or more without a menstrual cycle, it's easy to assume that once you enter the Big M, hormonal activity - including the ups and downs - is pretty much over. For many women this is the case. Natural Progesterone Cream– PMS and menstrual troubles are often linked to specific hormone imbalances. Yes, there are lifestyle, diet and physical activity components to maintaining a healthy weight, but that isn't the end of the story. The natural treatments above can still help you overcome your illness and greatly reduce symptoms, but these recommendations shouldn’t take the place of medical supervision. Because hormone imbalances vary so widely in terms of severity of symptoms, always keep track of how you’re feeling, do your research and evaluate how you respond to different treatments.

Hi, I am suffering from hormonal imbalance and my periods are irregular. My doctor advice me two tablets one is a contraceptive(I’m 21 by the way) and he told me I should excersie. But the thing is I get so sad that I just want to cry out loud for hours, I feel so depressed and I get angry or irritated at people around me.Also my lower back hurts a lot everyday.I have acne, hair fall, migraine sometimes, stomach aches everyday, I have gained weight,I go through most of the symptoms listed above. Before we get into hormonal imbalance, it’s important to talk about what hormones actually are. In a given day or month, a woman’s body will have fluctuations in hormones like estrogen, progesterone, cortisol, lutenizing hormone, prolactin, oxytocin, leptin, ghrelin, thyroid hormones, melatonin, serotonin and others.

I am a fairly healthy 22 year old female and I recently got bacterial vaginosis, however I am not sexually active. Could hormonal imbalance cause lightheaded sensation and feeling faint? I’ve been checked out for every other possible cause, but nothing comes back with an answer. In feb 2016 i gave birth to 2nd child. After that 4 mnthS my cycle is regular but having heavy flow and lasts for almost 10 days.first 3 to 4 days ligbter den 2 to 3 days heavier and 2 to 3 days lighter. Till now i m facing the same. I have also put on pounds. This mnth also my periods come on tym but very light and today is 8th day i m bleeding lighter till now.
